How Offline Mode Works
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
My Group Online uses the same Bluetooth Low Energy technology found in AirTags and fitness trackers. Each participant's phone becomes a tiny beacon that the guide's phone can detect nearby.
Privacy by Design
BLE only detects proximity, not location. We don't use GPS. We don't track where you are—only that you're nearby. This makes it perfect for school groups and family tours.
Battery Efficient
BLE uses minimal power—your phone can act as a beacon all day without noticeable battery drain. Both guides and participants can use the app throughout an entire day trip.
Works Anywhere
Remote hiking trails, underground museums, rural areas, foreign countries—if you have Bluetooth, you have attendance tracking. No cell service? No problem.
